Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including nursing homes, senior care facilities, and critical care environments. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with diverse needs, including those with dementia and disabilities. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for our patients while ensuring their safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with daily living activities for patients, including personal hygiene and mobility.
• Provide compassionate care to children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
• Perform IV insertion and manage intravenous therapies.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records using Athenahealth or similar systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a Level I Trauma Center or similar settings to provide critical care when necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention strategies.

Skills

• Experience working with children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of dementia care practices.
• Proficiency in coding for medical documentation is a plus.
• Ability to perform IV insertion competently.
• Familiarity with nursing home environments and senior care protocols.
• Experience in critical care settings is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients needs efficiently.
